Press Release
Fort Frances Wal-Mart again is partnering with the Children’s Miracle Network to raise money for the Children’s Hospital Foundation to help fund medical care, research, and education.
From May 14-June 14, customers are invited to show their generosity at Wal-Mart stores nationwide by purchasing a Children’s Miracle Network balloon icon for $1 to support the 2.6 million who receive care at Canada’s children’s hospitals each year.
This year’s national fundraising goal is $2 million.
“For the past 15 years, Wal-Mart Canada and Children’s Miracle Network have worked together to raise much-needed funds for Canada’s children’s hospitals,” said local Wal-Mart manager Darryl Skinner.
“We are so proud to do our part to save and improve the lives of Canadian children with medical challenges,” he added.
Wal-Mart Canada is the largest corporate sponsor of the Children’s Miracle Network, raising funds and awareness through its annual miracle balloon campaign, in-store events, vendor promotions, and its signature fundraising event, the Wal-Mart “Walk for Miracles” (this year slated for June 14).
