VNP offering up fur trade workshop

Join Park Guide Kyle Hudick this Friday to discover and discuss the economy and legacy of the voyageurs as he presents “Material Culture of the Fur Trade.”
What could you buy with a beaver pelt?  Examine some of the trade goods that passed through Voyageurs National Park and learn how they were used.  See and feel the fur of beaver, fox, mink, and fisher and learn what made them so valuable.       Evening programs are offered every Friday this summer at the Woodenfrog State Forest Campground Refectory near Kabetogama, Minn. from 7:30 – 8:30pm.
Programs are sponsored by the Friends of Voyageurs National Park. No fee or registration is required to attend.
