Due to an increase in the number of confirmed cases of gastroenteritis at the Rainycrest Long-Term Care, visiting is being restricted to family members only until further notice.
Family members are asked to restrict their visit to the resident’s room and refrain from visiting other residents while at Rainycrest.
All group programming by activation also is being cancelled until further notice.
Do not visit Rainycrest if you are experiencing any symptoms such as cough, fever, runny nose, or sore throat.
Those experiencing symptoms of nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea also should not visit.
The best way to stop the spread of infectious diseases is to wash your hands frequently.
Rainycrest visitors are asked to use the hand sanitizers provided at the entrance when you enter and leave.
The Infection Control committee will continue to monitor the situation, with a further update to be provided at a later date.
