Temperatures are rising as the third-annual VALA variety show to support literacy gets underway.
VALA Productions Studios presents “Las Vegas Legends!”
Yes, the famous VALA Follies are back, led by director Babs Speilberg, producer Princess Stephanee, and choreographer Mademosielle Cherie.
The ladies are all about line dancing at the local Gilley’s Saloon and Dance Hall in the New Frontier Hotel and Casino.
Bing Crosby and those show-stopping “Walkettes” will be performing at the Golden Nugget with some old-time favourite Irish tunes.
Also appearing at the Golden Nugget, and tapping their way across the stage, will be the “Dancemaker Divas.”
And back by popular demand, the “Lovely Ladies” will jazz up the stage at the House of Blues with not just two but a total of five dancers.
Other Las Vegas legends include appearances by Dolly Parton, Frank Sinatra, Tina Turner, Johnny Cash, June Carter, Melissa Ethridge, Madonna, Leanne Rhimes, Judy Garland, Patsy Cline, and Celine Dion.
Don’t miss special performances by local band “North of the Trax,” led by music director Myron Hawrylak.
And don’t miss your chance to witness “Elvis is in the House” and those entertaining Blues Brothers dancing to “Soul Man.”
Show-stoppers of the night will be Jackie’s Chippen-gals from Energy and Marlene Dietrich singing “Hey Big Spender” with the Follies.
Remember, folks, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
Two shows only will be held Saturday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Townshend Theatre.
Tickets are on sale at Betty’s in Fort Frances.
