Train derails west of Emo

An eastbound CN freight train was expected to get rolling again by noon today after it derailed yesterday morning at Rainy River First Nations.
A total of 13 cars jumped the track shortly before noon, reported Frank Binder, CN regional manager of Public and Government Affairs.
No injuries were reported and no dangerous commodities were involved.
The 13 derailed cars all contained grain.
CN crews and contractors have been working around the clock to clean up the spilled cargo and get the cars back on track or upright. The actual cleanup will take several days.
Some train traffic had been put on hold, but not re-routed, due to the derailment.
The cause of the derailment remains under investigation, Binder noted.
