After a thorough search, which was directed by Mayor and Council, and led by the team from Western Management Consultants (WMC), the Corporation of the Town of Fort Frances is pleased to announce that Faisal Anwar has been selected as the Chief Administrative Officer.
Coming most recently from Morden, Manitoba, Mr. Anwar has over 23 years of professional experience, with significant experience in municipal administration and a well-developed background in business and economic development. He has worked internationally, as well as in communities in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Throughout his career, he has developed a strong track record of accomplishments, and has demonstrated the ability to build strong relationships with staff and stakeholders. The Town feels that his knowledge, expertise, leadership ability, and people skills will serve him well in this role.
Mr. Anwar holds three master’s degrees including a Master of Arts in Economics, a Master of Business Administration, and Master of Applied Environmental Studies in Local Economic Development, in addition to significant professional development training. In his spare time, Mr. Anwar enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and playing cricket.
