Town hires Forbes as HR co-ordinator

The Corporation of the Town of Fort Frances is pleased to announce that Jordan Forbes has been selected as the Human Resources Co-ordinator for the organization.
A resident of Fort Frances, Forbes has more than 17 years of professional experience, working primarily in the field of management consulting.
Throughout his career, he has worked with municipalities, First Nation communities, a variety of public-sector organizations, as well as businesses of all sizes in communities throughout Northern Ontario.
The Town feels his experience, and people skills, will serve him well in this role.
Forbes is a graduate of Lakehead University, having obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree prior to the start of his career.
In addition, he has significant professional development training, including a certificate in project management from the University of Waterloo and training in Risk Communications from the Harvard University School of Public Health.
Forbes also is a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA), and has completed the academic program for HR professionals.
He presently is working towards his professional designation in human resources.
Forbes currently lives in Fort Frances, and has lived in the community for much of his life. He is active in the community, and currently serves on a variety of boards and committees in his free time.
He also enjoys playing a variety of sports, travelling, and spending time with his family.
The Town also would like to thank Aaron Petrin for his years of service, and the many contributions he provided to our organization, as Human Resources Manager.
