The town will be changing the entrance signage at both ends of the community shortly.
The Rainy River Future Development Corp. successfully obtained $50,000 in funding from FedNor to assist with converting signage in Fort Frances to the new brand.
The intent is to refurbish existing signage with the funds, starting with the entrance signs.
The design options were reviewed by the Economic Development Advisory Committee, with its preferred design having been forwarded to town council.
Council will be asked to approve the design at its meeting tonight.
Other business on the agenda includes:
•a recommendation re: a request from the Rainy River District Stewardship for the town’s GIS data;
•a report re: a renewal of a lease agreement with Bearskin Airlines LP at the Fort Frances Airport.

•a report re: adjusted senior user fees at the Memorial Sports Centre;
•a report to establish 2015 water and sewer rates, and an accompanying bylaw;
•a report re: upgrading the sound system at the Ice For Kids Arena;
•a presentation by Third Street East resident Senja Holbrook re: geese concerns; and
•a presentation by consultant Tannis Drysdale re: Rainy River Future Development Corp. activities.
The committee of the whole will meet first at 5:30 p.m., with the regular council meeting to follow.
