With Chief Building Official Rick Hallam temporarily on sick leave, council has appointed an interim CBO for the Town of Fort Frances.
Greg Gamble, who hails from the Dryden area and has been CBO for the Municipality of Machin, only will be working for the town part-time, so those wanting to get a hold of him are to contact the Civic Centre at 274-5323 and leave a message.
An appointment will arranged from there.
“There’s going to be some inconvenience,” acknowledged Mayor Roy Avis.
“But we’re going to try to provide the service the way that we’ve done so in the past,” he added.
Council made the appointment at a special committee of the whole meeting yesterday.
At the same meeting, council approved an agreement with the Ministry of Natural Resources with respect to its “Bear Wise” program.
