On Dec. 30, the Rainy River District OPP received a report of a break-and-enter at a residence on Second Street in Rainy River.
Officers arrived around 6:15 p.m. and spoke to the owners, who had arrived home to discover the break-in.
Information obtained in the investigation found that culprit(s) attended the residence while they were out.
Items stolen from the home include one pair of gold earrings, one black iPod, and one black flip phone.
The OPP is continuing to investigate this incident, and is looking to the public for assistance in solving it.

The OPP reminds community members to report suspicious activity to police forthwith, and also reminds residents to lock all vehicles and buildings.
