Tip helps police nab driver

On July 21, the Rainy River District OPP received a report of a suspected impaired driver operating a white Chevrolet Corvette near Reef Point Road.
The vehicle was observed to be swerving all over the roadway.
Officers in the area east of Fort Frances began to patrol and located the vehicle on Highway 11 travelling through Couchiching First Nation a short time later.
Kenneth Bruce Jackson, 55, of Fort Frances, subsequently was charged with having a blood alcohol level over 80 mg.
He will appear in court here Aug. 19.
Jackson also was served a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension (ADLS) and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
