Times expands, improves web site

Although the Fort Frances Times has had a web site for about a year now, it recently was upgraded to provide all the information anyone could need.
The web site–found at www.fftimes.com–features all the top stories of the week, from hard news and sports to a community profile or feature. Most are accompanied by colour photos.
Each page also features links to other information. The “News” page, for instance, provides links to the week’s winning lottery numbers and the obituaries.
The “Sports“ page offers information about recreation for all seasons, as well as a link to the TSN site, while the “Community” page lets you learn more about life in Rainy River District.
The “Life” page features weekly recipes, a host of interactive activities for the kids, and even a list of the 50 best-sellers for those who love a good book.
Finally, the “Marketplace” page features a directory of local businesses and colourful advertisements.
The site also features an extensive classifieds page, where the ads you placed in the paper appear in an organized fashion.
A regularly-updated weather forecast, the fascinating history of the Fort Frances Times newspaper and Rainy River District, information about the community as a tourist site, and an easy way to subscribe to the Times round out the site.
But perhaps the best part about the Times web site is that it is expanding all the time.
Future additions will include listings of local sports events, a calendar of community activities, listings of community organizations, dining links, links to even more news sources, and much more.
