With the Emo Fair just a week away, it’s time to think about entering the parade.
The parade line-up takes place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17. Judging is at 11 a.m. sharp, with the parade then starting at noon.
The route will begin in front of the Emo Health Centre, follow Front Street, turn onto Queen Street, cross Highway 11/71, and then end at the grandstand.
The theme for this year is “Join the Rush: A Tribute to Gold and Grain.”
Get a group together or enter a family float. Since there are no Fair Queen contestants this year, and therefore no floats, your presence in the parade will help make it a success.
Decorate a bike or a half-ton, or find a costume befitting of the theme, and join the excitement of this year RRVAS fall fair parade.
