The Fort Frances Power Corp. is delighted that more than 800 residential customers reduced their electricity consumed by 10 percent this July and August, and received a credit by qualifying for the “Summer Savings” program.
Roughly 840 residential customers received a credit on their account this week calculated at 10 percent of their energy bill for July and August.
The “Summer Savings” program was part of the OPA’s province-wide Summer 2007 Conservation Demand Management (CDM) effort, along with the Appliance Retirement and Electricity Retrofit Incentive programs.
Area residents were introduced to this incentive during Mall Days in June and all eligible customers automatically were enrolled.
