Show your friends, family, co-workers, employees, and students that you’re “sweet” on them this Feb. 14–and help out local causes at the same time.
With Valentine’s Day coming up soon, Tess Coish of Tess’ Kitchen here once again is taking her cookie cutter out to help not one but two groups.
Proceeds this year will be split between the Rainy River District Shelter of Hope’s women’s resource centre, which is opening here this spring, and the Fort Frances Community Chest, which helps district families with medical expenses.
Coish is selling heart-shaped Valentine cookies for $1 each.
She will be taking cookie orders until Feb. 9.
If you’re ordering them for your children’s school, let her know and she will pack them individually.
To order cookies, call 274-0787 or message her through her Facebook page (Tess’ Kitchen).
Coish raised $800 last year.
She donated $400 to the Community Chest while the other $400 went to “Walk for A Smile”–a campaign to purchase preventive oral health care supplies in which her daughter, Sara, was involved.
