Terriault to appear in court next week

The 22-year-old man charged with second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of local 16-year-old male is slated to appear in court here next Monday.
Joseph Francis Terriault was arrested and charged July 31, after Nathan Edward Macdonald was found severely wounded around 3 a.m. in the backyard of 1024 Webster Ave., part of an apartment complex on the corner of Webster and Sixth Street West.
Macdonald was transported to La Verendrye hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
After an intense search, an OPP K-9 unit helped officers nabbed Terriault in front of the Fort Frances Courthouse shortly after 9 a.m. that day.
A pre-trial was held earlier this month, and a victim impact statement was given by Macdonald’s family last week.
