Tamarack House set to be unveiled

We all know someone who has been touched by cancer.
Often, cancer patients need to leave their home and community to receive treatment in Thunder Bay. But where will they stay?
Thankfully, there is a home away from home available to all regional cancer patients.
The Northern Cancer Research Foundation (NCRF) is pleased to introduce Tamarack House, previously known as Amethyst House. This new regional cancer patient accommodation facility opens Feb. 7.
Tamarack House is located on the top floor of the new medical centre building, next to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
It will provide easy access to cancer treatment and services, more patient bedrooms, and free accommodations.
With your support, we are creating a “Home Away From Home” atmosphere at Tamarack House while providing comfort and support to regional cancer patients during this stressful time in their lives.
Join us at a community meeting coming up Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Fort Frances Legion to learn more about the “Home Away From Home” campaign—the fundraising initiative to furnish and equip Tamarack House.
Together we can make a difference.
