It’s time to register for ParticipACTION’s Community Better Challenge!
This year instead of the annual Hike and Bike Challenge, Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) is joining in on the Community Better Challenge led by ParticipACTION.
From May 31-June 16, ParticipACTION and NWHU are challenging people and communities to sit less and move more every day.
The ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge is helping strengthen communities through physical activity and sport because everything gets better when you get active.
ParticipACTION is awarding $150,000 to the community who rallies the most participants and accumulates the most active minutes during the challenge.
In addition, NWHU will be giving away one of three new bikes and other great prize packs to participants in the Northwestern Health Unit catchment area!
To participate in the challenge and be eligible for prizes from NWHU, sign up at www.nwhu.on.ca.
You will then download the ParticipACTION app on your mobile device or use the website to track your physical activity and contribute to your community’s total active minutes between May 31 and June 16.
The more physical activity you and your community does, the higher your community’s score and the better chance you have to win!
This challenge is for everyone–encourage your family, friends, or coworkers in your community to join you in the race to become Canada’s Most Active Community!
