One of Fort High’s fundraisers came to a close today.
In an attempt to raise money for the Kidney Foundation, the student council placed donation jars and envelopes in each class.
“We didn’t want to just use our money,” council member Ria Cuthbertson said. “We decided it would be much better if we got students to participate by donating their money to the cause.
“It’s also a good way to raise awareness about kidney problems,” she added.
As usual, there was an incentive for the class that raised the most money. That class gets its choice of a pizza or dilly bars.
“Even though the incentive helps, I would donate to the cause anyway,” student Sherri Williams said.
“That is, if I wasn’t broke,” she joked.
