Fort Frances High School students showed their romantic side on Valentine’s Day this past Monday.
The Student Executive Council and Mentoring Committee teamed up to sell the always-popular Valentine’s Day “candygrams”—a festive little note wrapped together with some candies.
Students purchased candygrams for their special someone last Thursday and Friday for $1 each.
“We usually sell around 50 ‘candygrams,’” noted SEC co-president Jessica Allan.
“I, myself, got one last year,” she added.
“I think they are a nice way to celebrate Valentine’s Day,” said Danielle Murphy, one of the participating students.
“I think the ‘candygrams’ are okay for friends and school but if you love someone, why not share it every day?” reasoned Megan Veniot, another Fort High student.
“Proceeds will go to the [SEC] to fund future events,” said Mentoring Committee member Janine Webb.
These sweet treats were delivered during fourth period on Valentine’s Day.
