Spray park running after electrical short out

Staff

The spray park in Emo temporarily stopped working last Friday when there was a short in the electrical circuit.
While the inside of the electrical box was blackened, Emo Public Works said that the short was controlled and that they were notified immediately and began working on correcting the problem.
They are unsure as to why the electrical short occurred, but Public Works said “they have temporarily fixed the problem. Parts have been ordered, and once they are here they will be installed.”
Working with an electrician, they have bypassed the problem until the new part arrives.
“In the meantime, our staff is manually operating the system, and it is up and running. They have to turn the equipment on and off, rather than the timer,” they noted.
They are also monitoring the equipment to ensure that things continue to run smoothly.
They are hoping that the parts arrive this week, so they can be installed and the water will work automatically again.
People have still been enjoying the spray park these past few days, and it has been busy with many families visiting during the hot temperatures.
