Sorority raffle winners drawn on Friday

Four local residents were the holders of the winning tickets in the Beta Sigma Phi fundraising raffle held on Friday.
Alpha Upsilon Chapter members Barb Eldridge, Helena Guertin, and Cristol Bailey drew the four tickets at noon in Lion’s Millennium Park at the site of the new wheelchair-accessible glider swing to be installed there later this month.
The sorority sold 1,000 tickets for $2 a piece to raise money for the project.
The first prize, consisting of a Lamaze infant gift package donated by Betty’s, was won by Joan Westover of Fort Frances. Second prize, a youth bike donated by Skates & Blades, was won by Emily Hyatt of Fort Frances.
The winner of a “Step 2” folding slide, donated by Canadian Tire, was Sarah O’Sullivan of Fort Frances, while the fourth prize, an outdoor portrait sitting and 11×14 print donated by In Focus Photography was won by Brian Gustafson of Fort Frances.
