Haven’t got your ticket yet to attend the 20th-annual Ducks Unlimited fundraiser banquet coming up this Friday night at La Place Rendez-Vous?
Larry Cousineau said not to worry, there still might be some left—if you act fast.
“Right now, we have about 16-18 tickets so people can still drop by here [Cousineau Brokers] and get them,” he noted late Monday.
“If they phone ahead to reserve their tickets, that might be their best bet,” he added, noting some tickets also are freed up at the last minute due to cancellations.
Tickets cost $50 per person (including the $25 annual DU membership fee), or $75 per couple.
As the number of guests creeps to the 200-person limit, everything else for the fundraiser is falling in place, said Cousineau. “We’re really happy with the way things are going,” he remarked.
A total of 80 live and silent auction items, which are a blend of donated items by local businesses and works by local carvers and artists, will be up for grabs Friday night.
There also will be four raffles—including one for a prize package consisting of a La-Z Boy chair, TV, TV stand, DU throw, and a DU print.
Organizers are confident the fundraiser will gross more than last year’s event, which brought in about $43,000.

DU Canada, founded in 1938, has spent $992.6 million on conservation programs so far, including about $70 million last year. The local chapter has raised $420,379.73 since 1983.
