Fort Frances OPP officers conducted a snowmobile patrol within town yesterday evening, checking a total of eight snowmobiles and observing a number of infractions.
A 22-year-old Fort Frances man was charged with careless driving and driving with no insurance under the Motorized Snow Vehicles Act.
He also was issued a warning for failing to stop for police immediately and failing to produce a licence.
Meanwhile, a 17-year-old Fort Frances male was warned for equipment defects on his snowmobile.
Finally, two 15-year-old males were warned for not having operators’ permits.
Officers will continue to conduct patrols on streets and trails.
You must carry and produce al documents pertaining to licence, registration, and insurance to operate a motorized snow vehicle in Ontario.
