With Christmas just over a month away, the Fort Frances Times is looking for children’s letters to Santa.
The Times is getting ready to publish its annual Christmas greetings edition on Dec. 17.
If you would like your child’s letter to Santa to be included, we need it by Wednesday, Dec. 10.
Drop by the Times’ office before Dec. 10 to deliver letters to the special snowman mailbox at the front of the office.
Those who can’t make it to the office can mail their letters to the Fort Frances Times at 116 First St. E., Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 1K2.
Children also can send their wish lists via e-mail at santa@fortfrances.com or by clicking on the “Letters to Santa” icon at www.fftimes.com
In an exclusive interview, Santa told the Times that he loves reading letters from all the girls and boys each year.
“My elves already have been getting quite a few orders for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, LEGO, FurReal Friends, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Disney Frozen Snow Glow Elsa, and American Girl dolls, among other toys,” said jolly St. Nick.
“But I really want to know what the children in Fort Frances, Emo, and the rest of Rainy River District want this year,” he added.
“How else will I know what to bring them on Christmas Eve?”
Mrs. Claus said she also enjoys reading all of the letters.
“It makes me happy when the girls and boys write us,” she noted.
“I even read them to the reindeer sometimes.
“I especially like it when the children mention what they’d like Santa to bring their parents,” added Mrs. Claus.
“It shows that they’re considerate; that they’re thinking about their loved ones.
“After all, isn’t that what Christmas is all about?” she mused.
