Search continues for missing man

Rainy River District OPP Officers are continuing to search for a man who disappeared yesterday evening in the Bears Pass area of Rainy Lake.
The young man was diving with friends from the bridge on Highway #11 when he entered the water and failed to re-surface around 8:30 p.m., stated a police report.
Police were called in, and marine patrols and other officers have been on the scene throughout the night, but the man has not been found.
Other resources are being brought in to assist with the search and efforts which are continuing today.
While the identity of the man is known, police are not releasing his name at this time.
Further details will be released when they become available.
In other news, the OPP have made an arrest following a break and enter this weekend in Fort Frances.
Police were called to a First Street residence, and the home owner reported that she had been across the street for a few moments in the late afternoon, and when she returned home, her house had been entered and some prescription medications were stolen.
Minutes later a motorist was stopped for an unrelated matter a short distance from the house. Upon his arrest it was found that the driver was in possession of the stolen medication.
Patrick Wensley, age 28, of Watten Township has been charged with break and enter, possession of stolen property and fail to appear in court.
