OPP officers and emergency crews responded to an accident involving a school bus and pickup truck around 3:40 p.m. yesterday.
The pickup truck was southbound on Minnie Avenue when it failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection with Second Street East.
The collision occurred as the pickup truck proceeded through the intersection and was struck by the eastbound school bus.
The bus was loaded with children at the time of the accident but fortunately no injuries were reported.
Paramedics attended to both drivers and all the children on the bus to ensure there were no injuries.
There was no damage to the bus while the pickup truck received minor damage.
As a result of the investigation, OPP charged a 76yearold male with failing to stop for a stop sign.
