School board salutes 25-year employees

The Rainy River District School Board recognized three employees for 25 years of service at its regular monthly meeting last Tuesday (May 1).
The RRDSB sincerely appreciates all staff members who work on behalf of students, and recognizes the dedication and commitment of its employees who have served the board for 25 years.
Those who received the distinction included Cathy Burton, a teacher at North Star Community School in Atikokan, Atikokan High School teacher Peter Burton, and Atikokan High School principal Jody Labossiere.
“For 25 years, you have been making a positive difference in the lives of students,” said Ann Cox, manager of Human Resources for the RRDSB.
“As educators, you inspire students to dream, and instill confidence that they can be successful in everything they do.
“We appreciate your experience, your knowledge, and your loyalty, and we thank you for helping our students to achieve higher levels of success,” added Cox.
“It is with great pleasure that I take this opportunity, on behalf of the board, to recognize and honour our employees for 25 years of service.”
As valued employees who have been making a genuine difference in the lives of students and staff, all honourees received a token of appreciation.
