RSV Outbreak at LTC home declared over

Riverside Health Care in conjunction with the Northwestern Public Health Unit has declared the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Outbreak over at Rainycrest Long Term Care Home, effective April 24, 2020.
The public is reminded that Pandemic Infection Control Practices and Restricted Visitor Access is still in effect.
Riverside has technology in place at the home for our residents to have conversations via video chat applications and are scheduling main window visits with loved ones. Please contact Activation at 274-3261 ext. 2542 to make arrangements.
During this time, all are strongly advised to observe the following guidelines:

· Practice social/physical distancing.
· Wash hands often with soap and warm water or by using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
· Maintain good cough and sneeze etiquette, including sneezing/coughing into a tissue, your sleeve or elbow.
· Put all used tissues in the garbage right away.
· Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth.
· Stay at home if sick, to avoid spreading infections to others.
