Complete with a live band and refreshments, the Rainy River Future Development Corp.’s annual general meeting here tomorrow night should be anything but dull.
The public is invited to attend the meeting, which gets underway at 7 p.m. at Warp 9 on Scott Street.
The first order of business is to elect new board members for the RRFDC, office service manager Cynde Milette said this morning.
She noted eight people so far are vying for five spots on the board but added more nominations can be made during the meeting. “That’s up a little bit from last year,” Milette said.
Following the business part of the meeting, Milette said there will be a private performance by “Bayou Boys”—a Creedence Clearwater Revival cover band.
The public then is invited to stay for the band’s complete concert, which starts at 9 p.m.
Hors d’oeuvres and complimentary wine also will be served during the meeting.
“Come out and find out about the Rainy River Future Development Corp. and if you are a member, please come out and vote,” Milette urged.
