The first dose of COVID-19 Moderna vaccines have been administered to Riverside’s long-term care residents in the west end of the Rainy River district.
Margaret Melanson, a 95-year-old resident was the first to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at Emo Health Centre, and 98-year-old, Leslie Ivall, was the first resident to receive the vaccine at Rainy River Health Centre.
As part of Phase One of Ontario’s three-phase vaccine implementation plan Riverside’s LTC residents at Rainycrest Long Term Care in Fort Frances who have completed consents began receiving vaccines yesterday, January 27, 2021. We anticipate the next vaccine shipment for those residents will arrive next week. We look forward to initiating vaccination of our long-term care staff shortly after.
