Riverside offering ‘Nutrition Survival 101’

Ever heard of the Freshman 15? How about pre-exam all-nighters?
These terms are used by students who find that their eating habits can affect their health and course achievements.
Getting the proper nutrition while you are away at college of university is so important. Are you prepared?
We would like to help you. Rylee Blasky who is a recent nutrition graduate, and Rooksana Randeree, Registered Dietitian at Riverside Health Care Facilities, are providing a pair of two-hour sessions that will explore the basics of meal planning, cooking for one and tips to navigate campus eateries to survive your time at university or college.
This is a great opportunity for 1st year students or those returning to school.
Sign up now for these free summer sessions. The first session is taking place from 1-3 p.m. on July 13 and 15.
The second session will be held on Aug. 18-19 from 1-3 p.m.
There is no charge, however, space is limited so call now to reserve your spot!
Both sessions will be held in the ground floor meeting room at La Verendrye Hospital.
