The Special Events committee of Riverside Foundation for Health Care is excited to announce its annual spring ladies’ luncheon will be taking place Sunday, May 7 in the Robert Moore School gym.
With 2017 being the Foundation’s 20th anniversary in support of local health care, the committee was inspired to celebrate by throwing a special “Birthday Bash” for all of the amazing and supportive “Mamas” out there.
The luncheon, which runs from noon-2 p.m., will feature a buffet lunch, dessert, silent auction, big draws, great prizes, a special “Birthday Boutique,” and several other unique ways to support local health care.
“It is such a great theme to work with and so there is so much we are able to do with it,” noted Foundation director Samantha Manty.
“I do not want to give too much away . . . but ladies can definitely expect an afternoon of being spoiled and having fun!”
Manty did say they will be having a party hat competition during the event, with prizes being awarded for the most creative, funniest, and prettiest hats.
“We hope to see some good ones out this year,” Manty enthused.
Meanwhile, she also encouraged those wishing to attend to get their tickets fast.
“The community seems to just love this event!” Manty noted. “Year after year, I am shocked at how quickly it sells out!”
All proceeds from this event will be used to purchase medical equipment for local Riverside Health Care sites.
This year, all funds will go towards a Moleculite, which is an innovative new technology used to visualize infection-causing bacteria in and around a wound.
It’s use will ensure infections are treated effectively if detected.
Last year, the luncheon raised more than $11,000 in just two hours!
These proceeds have been earmarked for a new medical-grade recumbent bike for the rehab department, and also have purchased a new shower chair for the in-patient unit at La Verendrye General Hospital.
Mamas (ladies) of all ages are encouraged to attend this fun and charitable “Birthday Bash.”

Reservations for tables of eight also are available.
