With the deadline for nominations having come and gone Monday, it looks like an election for positions on the board of directors of Riverside Health Care Facilities, Inc. won’t be needed again this year when it holds its annual meeting June 24 in Emo.
“I would doubt it,” Riverside CEO Wayne Woods said when asked if he knew if there would be an election.
“We have three people whose terms are up. I think one will run again, leaving two open seats. And I believe someone has stepped forward to run for one of those,” he added, noting he wasn’t sure if the board would be one short by the time of the election at the annual general meeting.
The current board of directors includes chair Craig Sanders, vice-chair Emily Watson, Jeanne Jewell, Wendy Judson, Brigitta McGreevy, Terry Ellwood, Jim Leonard, Percy Champagne Cecil Ogden, Norma Elliott, Robert Stamler, Noreen Robertson, Christine Ruppenstein, Robin Wright, Riverside CEO Wayne Woods, Dr. Diane Haak, Dr. Kim Meyers, and chief of staff Dr. Robert Algie.
The annual meeting will start at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria of the Emo Health Centre.
It will feature reports by Woods and Sanders, Dr. Algie, Riverside Foundation chair John McTaggart, the three hospital auxiliaries, and BDO Dunwoody auditor Jon Evans.
