The Rainy River District OPP detachment reports the following R.I.D.E. statistics for the period from Nov. 28-Dec. 5.
Some 1,322 vehicles were checked at R.I.D.E. programs across the district. As a result of these checks, two 12-hour suspensions were issued, one impaired driver was charged, and 10 other traffic-related charges were laid.
Twenty-three property damage motor vehicle collisions were reported, but no personal injury collisions.
The OPP would like to remind motorists to be watchful for deer and moose when travelling local roadways, and always drive in accordance to road and weather conditions.
With Christmas season upon us, make sure to never leave valuables of any sort in your vehicle. Always lock your vehicle when unattended.
