The Alzheimer Society of Kenora/Rainy River Districts will hold its eighth-annual “Ride For Memories” on Saturday, Aug. 28.
Join us for the ride and dinner to support the fight against Alzheimer’s.
Riders from across Northwestern Ontario are encouraged to get involved to collect pledges and enjoy a ride.
The early-bird registration fee is $15 (including dinner) until Aug. 8.
There will be four start locations, including Fort Frances, Dryden, Kenora, and Sioux Lookout.
All riders will meet for lunch at Totem Lodge in Sioux Narrows before making their way to Minaki, then ultimately returning to Kenora for a steak dinner at the Kenora Curling Club.
Along the way, riders will participate in a poker derby with the chance to win great prizes.
The public is invited to attend the steak to help raise money to support the organization and its services.
Tickets are $20 each, which can be purchased online at rideformemories.com, by calling 1-800-682-0245, or by visiting the Alzheimer’s office in Kenora.
“The ‘Ride for Memories’ is an exciting event that is always a lot of fun,” said executive director Lynn Moffatt.
“The proceeds of the event make a huge contribution to the success of the Alzheimer’s Society, and enable us to support and provide services to families, and people suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia-related diseases,” she added.
The Alzheimer’s Society is committed to improving the quality of life of individuals who are affected, or who may become affected, by Alzheimer’s Disease or a related dementia, as well as their caregivers.
