Residents invited to help ‘Stuff a Cruiser’

the OPP

The Rainy River District OPP has partnered with a number of community organizations to plan for the district’s first-annual “Stuff a Cruiser” campaign.
This Saturday (Dec. 11) from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., OPP officers will be located in Fort Frances and Emo as part of a district-wide initiative to help raise awareness as to how we can come together to help families in need this holiday season.
With the assistance of Treaty #3 Police, officers will be helping communities “Stuff a Cruiser” with non-perishable food items.
Our officers, along with volunteers, will be at Canada Safeway, The Place, and Wal-Mart in Fort Frances, as well as at Cloverleaf Shop Easy Foods in Emo.
All non-perishable food items will be collected in support of the local Salvation Army, United Native Friendship Centre, Sunset Country Métis Association, Emo food bank, and the Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau’s annual community Christmas dinner.
We ask that you take the time to stop by and assist us with stuffing as many cruisers as we can.
