‘Relay’ fundraiser in works

A “Relay-O-Rama” fundraiser is being planned for this Saturday (May 5) and organizers are looking for more vendors to participate to raise funds for the annual “Relay for Life” and to help fight cancer.
“It’s a mix of ‘relayers’ and vendors who are looking to come together for the cause,” noted Anneda Chabot, who is organizing the event along with Lisa Stasiuk and Jon Glueheisen.
There will be a variety of baking sold, such as cinnamon swirl bread, in addition to coffee cozies, iPod covers, hair accessories, jewellery, and more.
Other vendors include Julie Paterson, with her “Julie’s Playful Pairs” dolls, and Nicolette Skaarup, a new consultant for “Everyday Style.”
There also will be a penny table and a booth where people will be able to purchase luminaries for $5 each, sign up for head-shaving, and register teams for the “Relay for Life,” which is set for June 15.
The “Relay-O-Rama” fundraiser will take place at St. Michael’s School gym from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Those interested in taking part can contact Chabot (270-6263) for more details.
