‘Re-inventing’ group to lobby council

At the “Re-Inventing Fort Frances” steering committee meeting on Wednesday, final revisions were completed for applications for funding.
The terms of reference for the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund and the application to FedNor have been assembled in clear and comprehensive form, and are ready for forwarding.
The process will continue upon commitment from the Town of Fort Frances to participate in sponsorship as well as funding. The committee will lobby for this support at Monday night’s council meeting.
Some members of the committee had the chance to spend time with senior federal government reps at an event in Dryden last weekend. Constant contact is imperative to ensure continued support as the project moves forward.
Additional conceptual ideas will be displayed in the window of the BIA office inside the lobby of the Rainy Lake Hotel shortly. Be sure to stop in to see the newly-added drawings.
Public support by way of ideas in the suggestion box is encouraged.
