On May 28, Riverside Health Care received a report from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s Inspections Branch after a recent re-inspection of Rainycrest in Fort Frances.
There were significant improvements, with five orders being lifted, though we still have some additional opportunities for improvement.
We currently are re-evaluating and reviewing each in detail to determine our next steps.
Currently, Rainycrest Long-Term Care Home remains closed to admissions.
We are aware of the stress that being closed to admissions has placed on our residents, families, our staff, as well as the entire community.
Opening Rainycrest to admission and rectifying all areas of non-compliance is our goal.
We have been working diligently to address this for both our residents and our staff.
We remain committed to improving our status and future stability.
