Rainycrest Auxiliary wraps up busy year

Rainycrest auxiliary’s past year has been a busy one indeed–the last event being a Christmas party for the residents.
The Rebekah Lodge members entertained with a sing-song of Christmas music, after which the residents were treated to dainties and punch, and then got a visit from Santa.
A quilt, donated by the Sew ’n Sew Quilting Club, was raffled off and won by Marlene Nelson of Devlin. Many thanks to the Sew ’n Sew quilters for their generous donation.
On Christmas Day, the residents all received a beautiful Poinsettia plant from the auxiliary. A total of 155 plants were distributed this past year.
Over the past year, the auxiliary has raised money in various ways (i.e., the autumn annual tea and bazaar, Nevada ticket sales, operating the store, and the annual Tag Day).
All monies raised are put towards the Home, such as new kitchen equipment, air conditioning, geriatric equipment, etc., and for pleasures like an evening dining out at La Place Rendez-Vous, birthday parties, welcome parties, ice cream treats, Bingos, etc.
The auxiliary has an army of hard-working individuals–all with the same goal of making Rainycrest as pleasurable as it can be. Anything to make this goal possible is considered and if it is within our power, we will do it!
Thanks to all who have contributed to our various fundraisers, and we look forward to your continued support.
But in order for the auxiliary to attain its goals for the coming year, it is imperative we recruit new members. We urge anyone interested in helping our group to join the auxiliary. You’ll find it a rewarding and fulfilling experience.
We wish all a very blessed and happy New Year!
