Trustees for the Rainy River District School Board will elect a chair and vice-chair for the upcoming year at tonight’s meeting.
Slated to begin at 7 p.m. at the board office here, trustees also will elect their representative to the Ontario Public School Board Association.
In other news, the board’s Effective Schools leader, Sylvia Parker, will make a presentation on the “Reading Recovery” program.
As well, the board will present its monthly recognition of excellence to Robert Moore School for the numerous extra-curricular activities that take place beyond the classroom.
The board also will appoint trustees Michael Lewis, Dianne McCormack, and Ralph Hill to the Joint Transportation Policy Committee as the local public and Catholic boards continue to work to develop a transportation services consortium agreement.
