The Fort Frances Voyageur Lions want you to jump in the lake on New Year’s Day.
To give you a head start, a pre-registration will be held this Saturday (Oct. 27) from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Clover Valley Farmers’ Market on McIrvine Road.
Stop by to meet “plungers” from previous years and join more than 60 jumpers who will brave the icy waters of Rainy Lake on Jan. 1.
If you are not a jumper, you can make a pledge.
Voyageur Lions also will be on hand to give out treats!
This year, there will be more prizes for individuals who raise more than $300, either as part of a group or alone.
Prizes already in place include an iPod and an iPod Shuffle.
Top groups also receive bonus prizes while every jumper gets a T-shirt. Find out what you can win—either for your team or yourself!

Lions also will be collecting used eye glasses at the farmers’ market this Saturday.
Bring your used glasses and sunglasses to the drop box to be eligible for a “Sight Night” prize!
