Hydro One customers in Halkirk, Watten, and Fairnington Townships, as well as Red Gut First Nation, can expect a planned power interruption tomorrow (May 24).
The outage will start at 10:30 a.m., with power being restored by noon.
Hydro One said the interruption, which will affect 527 customers, is required to perform maintenance and upgrades to equipment.
Hydro One also is planning a half-hour power outage next Wednesday (May 29) for 1,028 customers west of Fort Frances.
The outage is scheduled to last from 9-9:30 a.m.
Areas affected will include Fleming, Wabaseemoong FN, Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls, Chapple, Godson, Richardson, Kingsford, Ojibways of Onigaming FN, Sabaskong Bay 35DFN, Senn, Sifton, and Emo.
“We apologize for the inconvenience to our customers,” Hydro One said in a press release.
“However, scheduled power interruptions are necessary to maintain a reliable power delivery system.”
