There will be a planned power interruption to 3,762 Hydro One customers from the Fort Frances town boundary west to Rainy River this Sunday (Oct. 14) from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
This includes the communities of La Vallee, Devlin, Emo, Chapple, Barwick, Morley, Pinewood, Dawson, Sleeman, and Rainy River.
This interruption is necessary to ensure the safety of Hydro One personnel replacing deteriorated wood pole structures on the 44KV transmission line, as well as IESO-mandated metering upgrades.
This line traverses between Fort Frances and Rainy River, supplying power to the surrounding communities.
Sunday, Oct. 21 has been set as an alternate interruption date.
