Power interruption affects region

A forced power interruption left Hydro One customers in Rainy River and Kenora districts without power for four hours yesterday.
The interruption began at about 6 p.m. with power having been restored at about 8:19 p.m.
Some 3,653 customers were affected, including people in Fort Frances, Emo, Devlin, La Vallee, Barwick, Rainy River, McCrosson-Tovell, and Morson.
The outage also extended to Minaki, Big Island, Sabaskong Bay, Manitou Rapids, and Seine River.
Hydro One stated the reason for the interruption was “customer equipment.”
