Pot package nabbed

The Fort Frances Community Action Team, in conjunction with the Thunder Bay Drug Enforcement Unit, intercepted a courier package containing about eight pounds of marijuana on Dec. 5.
The parcel was shipped from British Columbia and destined to an adult male from Emo.
As a result of the police investigation, an adult male was arrested Dec. 6.
He is facing charges of trafficking a Schedule II drug (cannabis marijuana) and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The male currently is in custody awaiting a court appearance Jan. 13.
