(FORT FRANCES, ON) – Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying an individual linked to a break and enter in Fort Frances.
On February 19, 2024, the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter at a residence in the 200 block of Fifth Street East in the town of Fort Frances.
It was determined that an unknown male entered the residence through a basement window on February 19, 2024, sometime between the hours of 12:00am and 1:00pm, took multiple small items and left on foot. No injuries have been reported.
Police were able to view surveillance footage at the residence. The suspect is described as a male, wearing a black face covering, black jacket with black gloves.
Members of the Rainy River District OPP Crime Unit are actively conducting an ongoing investigation and are asking the public for assistance. Anyone with relevant information including video surveillance footage from the surrounding area in the time leading up to and following the incident, please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
