Anyone who may have lost a canoe on Rainy Lake during last week’s storms can contact Couchiching First Nation police as two have been recovered in the past week.
“While on marine patrol, we found some people fishing that had found a canoe in the Five-Mile dock area,” Sgt. Ernie Jones said this morning.
“And a short time later, I found another canoe with some hull damage near a rocky shore,” he added.
“There weren’t many identification marks on them. But if people call me, I’ll be able to help them if it’s their canoe,” noted Sgt. Jones.
If you’ve lost a canoe in the past two weeks, call Couchiching First Nation police at 274-1565.
