Fort Frances OPP officers and the North West Region Crime Unit, under the direction of OPP Criminal Investigation Branch Det. Insp. John Horne, are investigating the death of a 20-year-old Fort Frances man that was reported to police early this morning.
Police received a call around 1 a.m. requesting they attend La Verendrye Hospital regarding the death of a patient in the hospital’s emergency department.
The name of the deceased is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
The 800 block of Scott Street remained cordoned off by police tape as of press time today.
